Privacy Policy

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy informs you about what data we collect, on what legal basis we process it, and what rights you have. For our contractual terms, please see the Terms of Service.

2. What Data We Collect

Account Data

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password. This data is managed through the authentication service Clerk, Inc. (USA).

Club Data

As part of club management, we store the club name, club country, an optional logo, player names you have chosen, and configuration data (e.g. number of tables, PIN settings).

Usage Data

During operation of the scoreboard, technical connection data is generated (IP address, timestamps, endpoints accessed). This data is used exclusively to ensure service operation, for error analysis, and to prevent misuse — not for profiling.

Payment Data

Payment transactions are processed entirely through Stripe, Inc. (USA). We store only the subscription ID and status provided by Stripe. Credit card details never reach our servers.

3. Cookies and Technical Storage

This platform uses technically necessary cookies for authentication and session management. These are required for the operation of the application and cannot be disabled.

4. Legal Bases

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing of account and club data to provide the service.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Logging of technical connection data to ensure service operation and prevent misuse.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): Retention of payment records in accordance with commercial and tax law requirements.

5. Retention Periods

  • Account data: For the duration of active use and 30 days after account closure, to allow recovery from accidental deletion.
  • Club data: Until deletion by the user or at the time of account closure.
  • Technical connection data: Maximum 30 days on a rolling basis.
  • Payment records: 10 years pursuant to §257 HGB / §147 AO.

6. Disclosure to Third Parties

We share your data only to the extent necessary for the operation of the service:

  • Clerk, Inc. – Authentication and user management
  • Stripe, Inc. – Payment processing and subscription management
  • Hosting provider – Server infrastructure is operated via Railway (USA) – hosting infrastructure with server location in the EU (Netherlands) (processing exclusively on our behalf)

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR or appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR. Transfers of personal data to the USA are made on the basis of EU Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR and, where applicable, additional protective measures.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the data stored about you at any time.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): Inaccurate data will be corrected promptly upon request.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request the deletion of your data, provided no statutory retention obligations apply.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): In certain cases you may request that the processing of your data be restricted.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object at any time to the processing of your data on the basis of legitimate interests.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for Baden-Württemberg is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.
