Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Online Snooker Scoring service provided by Engine Solutions – Thomas Ruppel. By registering, you accept these terms.

§ 1 Scope

These Terms of Service apply to all contracts between Engine Solutions – Thomas Ruppel (hereinafter "Provider") and commercial as well as private users (hereinafter "User") regarding the use of the Software-as-a-Service platform "Snooker-Scoring.com".

§ 2 Subject Matter and Services

The Provider makes available a web-based platform that includes the following core features:

  • Digital scoreboard for snooker matches in real time
  • Management of players, results, and statistics
  • Tournament management and bracket display
  • Club management with a role-based access system

The exact scope of services depends on the subscription plan selected. The Provider reserves the right to adjust the feature set as part of ongoing technical development.

§ 3 Contract Formation

The presentation of services does not constitute a legally binding offer. By completing the registration process, the User submits a binding offer to enter into a contract. The contract is formed upon activation of the User's account by the Provider.

§ 4 Usage Rights

The User receives a simple, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable right to use the platform for the duration of the contract. Any use beyond this scope is not permitted.

§ 5 Acceptable Use

The User agrees to use the platform exclusively for lawful purposes. In particular, the following are prohibited:

  • Automated extraction of content (scraping) without express permission
  • Sharing access credentials with unauthorised third parties
  • Reverse engineering or manipulation of the platform
  • Use in any manner that impairs the operation of the platform

In the event of violations, the Provider is entitled to restrict or terminate access.

§ 6 Pricing and Payment

Use of the platform may be subject to a fee depending on the selected plan. No VAT is charged pursuant to §19 UStG. Payment is processed via an external payment provider (Stripe). The terms and conditions of that provider apply additionally.

Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled. In the event of a failed payment attempt, access may be restricted.

§ 7 Cancellation

The User may cancel their subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Once the period expires, access will be deactivated.

§ 8 Liability

The Provider is fully liable for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, as well as for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

In all other respects, liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. For data loss, the Provider is only liable to the extent that the User has not taken appropriate data backups.

Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance work may lead to temporary restrictions.

§ 9 Consumer Right of Withdrawal

Consumers have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date of contract formation.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the User must inform the Provider by means of a clear declaration (e.g. by email) of their decision to withdraw.

In the event of a withdrawal, all payments received will be refunded without undue delay.

The right of withdrawal expires early if the User expressly consents to the service commencing before the withdrawal period has elapsed and acknowledges their awareness that the right of withdrawal will be lost upon commencement.

§ 10 Data Protection

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

§ 11 Changes to Terms

The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service for good cause. Users will be notified of any changes. If the User objects to the changes, the contract may be terminated.

§ 12 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies. The place of jurisdiction for commercial users is Ravensburg, Germany. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
